I designed a range of marketing materials for Kent Sport at the University of Kent, to promote their revamped sports facilities, new cafe and their ‘Sporting Legends’ celebration.
They needed the brochure in time for the start of the new term. I designed it from scratch, following the University of Kent’s corporate guidelines.
The brochure contains different sections for students, staff, alumni and the public. Each section has the relevant information and membership options for these readers. I colour-coded each section to make this clearer. For the photography, I used one strong ‘hero’ image per page, rather than several smaller images. This was to stop the pages from looking too cluttered. Black and white imagery made the brochure look more sophisticated, while the headings and text overlap with the images to create some interest.
I expanded this design across the other materials, using the same black and white photography and colour treatment for the text.

I have designed brochures, leaflets, posters and exhibition boards for Canterbury Christ Church University. They also trusted me to design one of their annual reports. This required me to work within their corporate design guidelines, using their fonts and colour palette.
